Jon and Angie Steitz

Jon and Angie Steitz have always had a heart for the youth group at Unity, but felt led to take on more of a leadership role in November 2009. In the past few months, they have learned how much of a blessing the youth ministry can be. Jon and Angie enjoy seeing Unity's youth group draw closer to each other and to Christ. They emphasize the importance of a solid Christian support system within the youth group through prayer and reading the Bible. Every Wednesday night Jon leads our youth in a contemporary worship service followed by solid biblical teaching where he challenges them on issues they are facing. Together with George and Suzanne Kopp, Jon and Angie enjoy planning and participating in activities, and co-directing plays and dramas.

Jon and Angie are high-school sweet hearts. They were married in August of 2005 and were blessed with a son, Tyler Jonathan, in August 2009. They are thankful to have such a wonderful home church and a good Christian home to raise their son in.

Christopher and Suzanne Kopp

Suzanne writes "Our marriage of ten years is undeniably a gift from God. We are both extremely blessed by our Christian home. Together we share a history growing up in Unity's Youth Group. My husband Christopher, often known as George, has served as a deacon since 2007. We are active members at Unity, where together we plan activities for our youth to young adults. We both have a passion to teach today's youth of Jesus Christ. We believe we should be observant and committed with our teens, as well our church.

We recognize the responsibility of nourishing the youth with God's Holy Word...as well as witnessing, uplifting them in prayer, guiding them and encouraging them to remain faithful to Christ. As they are acknowledging their personal relationship with Jesus, it is a blessing to watch them grow closer in their walk with God.

On a personal note, after years of struggling with infertility, and doctors stating that conception was impossible, God has shown his love on us yet again by blessing us with a son, Jacob. Reminding us all, how God is in full control. Jacob is not only answered prayer for us, but also for our church family. He is one of many blessings born this past year in our church. As Jacob is indeed a gift, we are thankful for Gods's sacrifice of His holy Son, Jesus on the cross so many years ago. Together with Jon and Angie Steitz we encourage and support our youth, looking for opportunities to share the love of Jesus... and increase their faith.

Greg and Lisa Sword

Greg and Lisa Sword will be celebrating their 12th anniversary come April 2010. They met at a gospel singing that Rev. Bud Barger, Lisa's father, was hosting .They have been involved in the music ministry since they were children. God has blessed them with two children; Logan who is ten years old and Luke who just turned eight. Logan and Luke both sing and have joined their parents in spreading God's word through song. The Sword family has attended Unity for the past year. They are honored to have the opportunity to work with the youth music program. The Sword family is known for their southern gospel/camp meeting style of music. Their goal is to combine various styles of music to give a modern/traditional style to the youth praise and worship services. It is their heart's desire to help the youth embrace their musical abilities to bring glory and honor to our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. HE IS WORTHY OF OUR PRAISE!!!!!!!
